I need to get a gift for a little girl who'll be 4 soon.
I have no idea about kids of this age really, and I know they are all individuals but can anybody give me any ideas?
Something I can post would be best. Budget is under £15. Thanks!

My DD loved her tea set at 3,4 and now at 7? It is the most used gift she ever received!
There are lovely gifts here: www.wickeduncle.co.uk/presents/girls/age-4
and they wrap and deliver for you. Also worth using Amazon and their gift wrap service/delivery is great.

Duplo. Suits all personalities. My DD has never entertained a tea set. Or colouring sets and books

I got a great sticker book for DD the other day called "Create Your Funny Farm" - its quite big and has about 500 stickers. Each page is a different part of a farm to add in whetever stickers they want and theres more stickers than needed so its creative. We love it Grin

Grin and mine wouldnt entertain Duplo. Playmobil on the other hand....

Mine likes Duplo, Playmobil, Sylvanian Families, dolls and soft toys, model animals, drawing, colouring, painting (I am less enthusiastic about the painting because of the mess), stickers, dressing up, jigsaws, play dough, simple board games (she absolutely loves dominoes and lotto in particular), story books, story CD's.

I would say her absolute favourite toys at the moment are jigsaws, duplo and colouring books.

I would get this www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0230743323/ref=pd_aw_sim_b_1?refRID=1EKSX3R62Z9XN08XD0M1. I know it looks vomit inducing bit honestly we have the theatre one (now seemingly out of print) and my girls played with it for hours.

I gave my god-daughter a onesie and that was a hit.

My 4yo dd is obsessed with any sort of 'make your own ...' craft sets.

DIYandEatCake · 25/03/2015 00:12

Google 'my first sticky mosaics' - my 4yo loves these.

Thanks everyone. Lots of lovely ideas!

Space hopper, perfume & another painting/craft set were the hits of my dd's 4th birthday last week. Also a watch - even though she can't actually tell time properly yet (thinks second hand is hrs!)
