You know when you've stuck to something consistently over days, weeks, months and your child got the message. Here's one of mine:
I have never bought dd chocolate when shopping, I occasionally buy it when they are not with me and give it at home, (they get an abundance when they visit nana's)
In the supermarket at checkout the other day, dd1 asked for chocolate that was on display at the counter, I said no, and she just accepted my response so beautifully, she didn't complain or whinge it was amazing.... and I felt so guilty then ! But I still didnt back down and gave her a treat later on in the day.
It's encouraging when you do see the pay off, it makes it all worthwhile iykwim. Come on share yours it's good to look at the positive.
