hi mn, im 30 weeks preg with dc3, my other 2 dcs are at school, but when they're home and the baby is asleep, where do you put the baby to have a nap. my house is open plan so I don't have a downstairs room where I can put them so they don't get disturbed. is it ok to put them in their bedroom with a monitor?

Dc2 sleeps in the bouncy chair, sling or on the sofa (never unattended). She falls asleep despite the noise and activity.

I have 4 DSs, the younger ones would sleep through pretty much anything!

Mine had daytime sleeps in the pram for the first few months so I would just wheel her somewhere a bit out of the way (we were also living pretty open plan then). Or sometimes she would want to be sleeping on me in teh baby bjorn. As she got a bit older and was disturbed / had regular sleep times I obviously had to put her in her own bed to sleep (can't really remember when this was but probably 4 months or so).

Yep, bouncy chair in amongst all the noise and flying objects. Naps just fine Wink

Thanks everyone for your replies, dd2 was such a light sleeper that she was disturbed by every noise, I used to put her in a reclining baby chair for her naps so will play it by ear and see what kind of sleeper the baby is. dd2 is going through a phase of singing in an operatic way Grin hoping this will be a short lived fad!!

Ds would sleep in his moses basket or carry cot in the lounge when tiny but quickly got too big so we started putting him in his cot upstairs with a video monitor on.

My DD would sleep in her bouncy chair or sling when tiny but about 3mo I started putting her in her cot with monitor and she slept so much better as she wasn't being pestered by DS lol x

DC3 and 4 would sleep downstairs in one of these . Either in the reclining bouncy chair or just on a crib mattress.

Oldest was just 4 when DC3 was born so I needed somewhere safe for DC3 where I could leave him if I needed to attend to the others.

Mine is a super light sleeper but she goes down in her room we share in her cot with the video monitor on x

When she was born she went in the bouncer/sling however (she's almost 5 months old now)

I'd put them upstairs in their cot. Or outside in the garden if it's nice.
