Hi,

29 mo DS was very sick last week (high fever and soar throat) and was only comfortable sleeping next to me in the spare bedroom. I didn't mind either as it meant I could keep am eye on him and check his fever regularly...

He's been fine for a couple days, but now is refusing to sleep in his room... for the past 2 days we let him fall asleep in the spare bedroom and then moved him to his room. Today I wanted him to fall asleep in his room ... so he has been standing in his cot crying for the past 20 mins and I have been sitting on his bedroom floor trying to talk to him... Sad Sad
I do give him a cuddle every 5 mins to calm him down...

I finally gave up... DH is now walking with as he is very tired and really needs to sleep....

any tips on how we can get him to like his room again ? feeling very guilty that I let him cry it out Sad

TIA

I've always put mine in our bed when they're I'll but make it very clear that they go back into their own room when they are better. Make sure he knows what is going to happen tomorrow night, maybe you could even do some roll play with his teddy?

Roll play with teddy sounds like a good idea. Ive no advice sorry. Just wanted to say don't feel guilty for letting him cry. We have to try these things as mums, you were only trying to improve the situation in the long run. Good luck x
