My dd is going to Paris tomorrow and I feel worried and stressed please tell me not to be so silly

I know it's silly but with everything that's been going on lately and those poor people shot in Tunisia I just don't feel I want her to go. It's a school trip.

It's perfectly understandable and reasonable to be worried, I'd be surprised if you weren't. Thankfully, although it doesn't seem like it with the 24hr media coverage, events like Tunisia are rare. As a pp said security in Paris will be high.

Thanks everyone. I've really worked myself up over this over the last few weeks. I feel slightly less anxious now that she has gone off this morning with all her stuff. I'm definitely a parent who finds it hard to let go anyway.

The only thing you need to be worried about is how your child is going to fall in love with Paris and nag you until you let her return there.

Hoe you're ok. My DD, 9, is going on her first school residential tomorrow till Monday and I'm dreading it. She can't wait though!
