Best dummy to use for bf 5wo

I've managed to get away with it using a dummy with my 5wo so far. She is ebf on demand but I feel sometimes at night she is sucking for comfort rather than to feed and ending up bringing up a lot of milk because her stomach is too full. I don't want to use a dummy to shove in her mouth to stop her crying, just to stop her taking on too much milk when she just wants comfort. I've tried a Philips Avent dummy a couple of times but she just spits it out. Any suggestions for bf friendly dummies?

I really recommend the MAM ones. We've been using on Dd ( 16 weeks) since 4 weeks after I tired some others which she gagged on and spat out. They're fantastic, do a 0+ or an extra small size and glow in the dark ones which are perfect for night! They also come in a handy case which you can pop in the microwave to sterilise the dummies Grin

Second MAM! Ds wouldn't use anything else :)

DD likes the MAM ones Smile
She had NUK in hospital but didn't get on with it, she did like another called super soother (or something like that) but I couldn't find anywhere to buy one. Once she was home I bought MAM dummies and never looked back.
She only has it for sleep time.

MAM ones here. Both boys loved them. I liked that they were checked by orthodontists

MAM all the way!

It's unanimous! Thank you everyone, I'll get some MAM dummies & give it a go. Wish me luck! Smile

My dd would only have latex ones so she has tommee tippee soft rim ones. They are orthodontic too xx

I join the MAM group. Mine has had them from birth and i think they are fab. Especially the glow in the dark ones when your trying to find dummy in the night x

My baby hates the MAM ones, she gagged and spat them out, the only kind she'll take are the old fashioned cherry ones.

dicko1 · 19/03/2015 08:22

My first was like that. much easier and cheaper x

my little one didnt take to the MAM ones, had to be cherry teat dummies by Tommee Tippee. He'd spit the MAM ones out :(
