You really need to get it done. I was in agony by the time I went to the hospital - I wasnt having long drawn out days of twinges.

Do it tomorrow!!! Have you at least got a list?

rosepetalsoup · 11/03/2015 19:18

It's my second baby and I've got all the stuff (pads, etc) so I will get on and do it. Thank you for reminding me of the agony! That's what I need to get me to snap into action. Just now I don't feel like going on a trip with 50 large sanitary towels and all my oldest knickers!

Ahhh but this trip has the best souvenier!

Hope you get a nice quick easy birth (DD1s was a fucking nightmare, my second was amazing)

Yes my first labour was... not the kind of thing you want to repeat! You are right, I am excited to meet the baby. Thanks for these kind words. I've had a couple of chocolates and am ready to start thinking about it.

Yes do it! I had mine a week after you!

I went in at 33 weeks with no bag packed. Dh couldn't work out which were my maternity clothes ( Hmm ) so brought some of his, and I spent my first week in hospital looking like a child who's raided its parents wardrobe. Or some days just a scruffy tramp. This is why you should pack your own bag, and pack it now.

YvesJutteau · 12/03/2015 09:03

Do it before 39w3d, is my advice.

Yes, it turned out that assuming DC1 would be late because everyone in my family always had babies late was a bad idea...

With DC2 and DC3 they were safely packed by 37 weeks Grin

GoooRooo · 12/03/2015 09:09

Do it. My waters went at 37+1. I'll be packing by 35 weeks this time.

rosepetalsoup · 12/03/2015 09:20

Ok thanks ladies. I've done half of it and ordered some more stuff online so it should be done by early next week!!

Seconding sunflowered. Over a week in hospital, an hour and a half away from home, just before Christmas at 35 weeks was only made worse by the fact I had to wear the same nightie or borrow DHs trakkies and I had no socks. But yes, best souvenir ever!
