We're going through it now, or altleast i think we are. Dd has been a fussy, screaming, grumpy pain the the ass for more than a week now. I'm starting to lose hope that it'll ever end!! Maybe it's not a growth spurt, maybe this is just how she'll be from now on?

How long did it last for you? We've got injections tomorrow so im dreading the rest of the week! Help

Have you tried looking at the Wonder Weeks? There is an App and also a book. The idea is that every so often babies go through stormy periods when they make mental leaps in their development. It's different to a growth spurt which relates to physical growth, the wonder week relates to mental development and they have fussy behaviour etc. I've just had a look and there is a wonder week at or around week 8.

The App helps you predict when it's going to happen and helps you work out what is causing the behaviour in your baby. I found it really useful as it can help you look at what they are doing in a more positive way, to see it as part of development and also to be able to predict when it will happen and see that what they are doing is normal and will end once they reach the end of the leap. There are also some tips on suitable games an toys for your baby at each stage.

Second looking at the wonder weeks stuff, it make a lot of sense when you read it :)

8 weeks here too. I wondered if there's a growth spurt. The feeding is relentless and my boobs are going crazy spurting and leaking everywhere! Frequent and long feeds going on. The nights are hard! Injections today too. Uh-oh!

Every time my DD had a whinging/fussing/screaming/grumpy stage (she's 16 months now, we've had a lot of them) I thought that was it and she would always be like that from now on! She's never stayed a gremlin for long Grin.

It will pass. Promise. I know that's not too helpful when you're in the middle of it Thanks
