DS been invited on a play date to a classmates house and doesn't want to go, what should I tell the mother?

My son loves going on play dates but this particular classmate who has invited him, my son really doesn't want to go home with. Apparently all they ever do is play football and play computer games. My so last time tried to suggest other thing to do but the boy is football crazy. My son loves playing with lego, anything really apart from two hours of football. What should I tell the mother?

I'm no expert (pregnant with number one) but I wouldn't tell the mother exactly how it is. Instead I would make up an excuse about why he can't go on that occasion.
Kids are changeable so you never know next week your child or the other boy might be into another new activity that they would both be happy doing together!
