Balancing friends and family when studying. How do you manage?

I'm not mangaging very well and don't seem to have an understanding lot. How do you manage it?

I go to the local cafe and study. I put my mobile on silent (or vibrate) then I get on with it. I don't tell anyone that I've gone to the cafe otherwise they would all want to come for a fry up breakfast and just a quick cuppa with me.

My DTs are in playgroup from 9.30 till 12 and that's when I get the bulk of it done.

I think you just need to identify when you can escape the family etc and do it! Without guilt!!!!

the uni work is going fine, got some good grades. my little boy is fine. don't have much time with my partner and the flat is usually a dump!
