What are the signs I should look for in 2.4yo ds1?

Thanks!

Gah! DC. Not CDs. I don't even own any CDs anymore.

Lots say that they should be consistently dry after a nap. There needs to be decent language & understanding too. They need to be able to get themselves undressed.

In my case, with my ds, we tried at 26 months & after 5 days there was no improvement, so it was clear he wasn't ready. I then left it till he was a month shy of 3. His best mate was training & ds decided he wanted to wear pants & got them out of his drawer and put them on. I just supported him in it. Peer pressure is an amazing thing at times!

When DD told us she didn't want to wear nappies anymore! Grin I'd been putting it off as I was dreading it, but I'm glad I waited until she wanted to do it herself as it meant we only ever had about 3 accidents. She was about 2.6 at this point.

We carried on with pull ups at night though for another year or so until we were fairly sure they were always dry in the mornings (hard to tell sometimes with these super absorbent ones). Again, no regrets at leaving it for as long as we could as it meant no problems when they finally came off.

When she climbed up on the loo at 2.2 and did a wee. She was very matter of fact about it and took us completely by surprise! Grin
