what did you do for your second (or subsequent) child's first birthday? We had a family party for ds but the same now would require hiring somewhere due to all the children who've arrived since. And any party would end up being more for ds since all his friends are the ones with baby sisters and whose parents are our friends. But I feel like we want to celebrate her being one - and us surviving two!

Ideas?

Anyone? I'm leaning towards a picnic in the park, weather permitting. My mum flew over for my son's first birthday but hasn't mentioned anything for this one - is this how it goes for second children?!

Not there yet, but could you pick a couple of little friends and go to the zoo/farm or something?

A walk in the woods with a few snacks and maybe a cuppa at the cafe would also be nice?

We're debating exactly the same thing at the moment! We're thinking a birthday tea with cake and balloons and dancing around the room to music but just for our little family.
