20 month old vitamins.

Hi there, I'm looking for some advice on vitamins for toddlers. My little boy is coming up on 20 months and I have been giving him a multivit since he was around 6 months as advised by HV. It has always been a battle to get him to take the syrup and so every night I am forced to chase him with a calpol syringe full of the vitamins every night and its just wearing me down. I've searched high and low for a chewable version but they are all marked over 3 years. I've tried comparing ingredients on the boxes & they seem similar but the ones I've looked at use different units so I can't be sure. Has anyone here properly investigated this? If the 3 year warning is only to do with choking I wouldn't have any concerns about giving him these as I know he'd be fine. My worry is Id be giving him too high a dose of something.

Or has anyone any ideas of how to get him to take them? I would try putting them in milk/food but he never finishes anything so I wouldn't be happy he was getting the full dose. He is a very picky eater and always has been so getting the vitamins into him is very important to me.

Thanks
