I am pleased when they get up before 0700.
I am thrilled to bits if they thank me for a lift or comment favourably on a meal.
I bite my tongue at least 20 times a day to avoid an argument.
My favourite and much repeated expression is "I'm sure you didn't mean to be so rude"
Accept that they will use all the hot water therefore I must shower in cold.
Gaze wistfully into prams thinking how easy it was then - even if it didn't seem so at the time!
