weird reaction to gripe water. help!

My dd has happily taken gripe water before but i changed to a fennel based one rather than dill and she's gone a bit peculiar!

I gave her just half the dose 2.5ml which she took happily. Then she refused sleep for ages, once asleep she did a LOT of farts, more than usual - some of them we, when she woke she had some time on the floor where she started thrashing her head from side to side... Not something she's done before.

She's been pretty upset and is happily feeding now but I'm worried that the gripe water might have made her poorly.

Should i worry? Or am i being a bit bonkers!?

Well as it bubbles up the wind, perhaps it's just stronger? My dd does the head side to side thing when she's tired but some discomfort is preventing sleep (eg wet nappy or hunger) ... combined with the farts, it could be tummy gripes.

Can you go back to the old brand? (ie have you any left).

I doubt it's harmed her but you don't want excess farts day in day out, poor dd!
