My 2.4 ds used to be easy to put to bed and woke up at 6.30am. Since dropping his nap (1.5hrs) he's a nightmare to put to bed and wakes at 5.15. Does this settle down?

When my eldest dropped her nap just before she was two she used to be in bed for 5.30pm and woke around 6; I think this only lasted a couple of weeks and then it was bedtime around 6.30pm.

Yes it did make bedtime easier for a while. DS dropped his nap on his two nursery days first, so those bedtimes were the easiest but all were ok.

Unfortunately the change doesn't last forever, as they get older and adapt to less sleep.

Just remember it doesn't have to be all or nothing. DS was fine with a routine that involved naps some days but not others.
