when to alter poppers on BTP pocket nappies

We're using little bloom BTP pocket nappies (amazon cheapies).
DS is 13 weeks, 14lb and long and slim. We've been using the cloth nappies since start of January.
The last couple of days he's leaked out of the top of the nappy even with willy pointed down. I was thinking it might be time to move to the middle setting on the length poppers but then worry about running out of options before the potty end of the birth-to-potty journey!!!

When did you adjust length?

Try it - if it works, then it's time. You are unlikely to run out of nappy space, unless the brand come up very small.

When you get either leaks or marks like socks leave. Babies slim down once they get moving so you're unlikely to run out of space unless you have a 1yo fatter than the average 2 1/2yo!!

Ds outgrew his small realeasies at about 8 months. I popped one back on him at 17 months and it fit. Still does round the middle at 2y4m
