Heat rash: when will it clear up?

Dd got a bit overheated about a week ago and got a heat rash. Ive been doing my best to keep her temperature comfortable ever since but her rash keeps flaring up.

Not using any products in the bath incase it worsens.

It gets hot when i feed her, where her head rests on my arm and it flares more when she's upset.

When will it clear up? Its on her face, neck and scalp. I just feel so sorry for her and awful for letting her get too warm in the first place!

Is there anything i can put on it /do to it? She's only 6 weeks

Are you sure it's heat rash and not baby acne or Erythema toxicum? (Ignore the scary name, it's a common newborn rash) DD had it from about 4 weeks old and it faded a lot by the time she was 10 weeks old, and went completely by about 16 weeks.

I was also going to say are you sure it's heat rash? That tends to clear up pretty quickly as soon as baby cools down. DD had erythema toxicum (baby acne) and it lasted maybe 6-8 weeks. That was also on her face/scalp. It's not at all dangerous and clears up on it's own, it's very common.

I suppose it could be erythema toxicum, its not on her body, just head and neck. It doesnt appear as blotches though, is definitely raised red bumps, most of them tiny blisters.

Would be good if it is something that will quickly subside.

I'm going to see the health visitor on Thursday next week so I'll see what she thinks.
