dd being bit awkward at moment, she never wants her nappy changed then when it's off, she never wants one back on! she does sit on her potty when i, erm, on loo (sorry, if tmi!) but not very long-although she did once "do" in her nappy and she was so proud of herself!

My own experience and that of friends is that 18 months is often a bit young (when using disposables). But it sounds like your DD is showing an interest, which is good. You're doing the right thing by sitting her on the potty - has she ever used it though? When she does then serious praise is called for! I guess this will be your first real sign that she can make the next step and use it more regularly.

Have just come to the end of potty training a 36 month old (DS-who are often later that girls). I found perseverance and incentives worked a treat. I also found that this potty training in five days lark is nonsense. It takes time and patience.

I know it's tempting but I wouldn't rush. Just keep the potty about and keep putting her on it until she associates it with going to the loo.
