Hi, I am gate crashing this board as I dont have any children but need to buy a play mat for a friend. A few I have looked at online seem to be very thin or maybe the toys are too low? I have no experience as this so could do with some tips about what to look for or recommendations. Thanks

Hi there!

Totally depends on budget and what you want from it. I think ours was a Skip Hop(?) one (had a tree and birds on it....). It wasn't cheap iirc but my son played with it for a long time. You can get lovely ones whatever the budget, I'd look for one with hanging toys, mirror, and maybe a tummy time pad or cushion.

Thanks

Iam thinking this maybe the most versatile. www.amazon.co.uk/Bright-Starts-Swingin-Safari-Babys/dp/B008R6KF9A

What do you think?

It's expensive but the fisher price rainforest one is good. My daughter and many of her nct cohort were mesmerised by the jungle noises.
