My DD is 15 months and has started walking - for the past week she's been wakening up for the day at 4.50am could this be linked to learning to walk and be a development thing? I seem to remember something similar happening when she learned to crawl (it's easy to block these memories out . 4.50am is not a time I want to get used to please someone tell me it's just another phase.

It is a phase. Most babies And toddlers have early rising phases and they suck. I'm sure you know this but make sure she's eaten well, had milk and don't let her up at 4.50 even if you have an hour of grizzles

Mine's been doing 5:20 for the past week. This morning I gave him no choice and bundled him into bed with us, stroking his face until he slept again. Of course I couldn't get back to sleep though! At least we're not playing!
