has anyone applied for one and got one?

How long do they take to come through?

Are they difficult to get??

I had one. A while ago now but i don't remember there being any difficulties and it came through quickly. Sorry, i know that's probably not the most specific of info. It probably depends who you go to as well.

Thanks Vitomum. I just ordered the application form and it looks quite straightforward

I take it you wouldn't qualify for a student loan?

I just remember the interest was a lot lot less on a student loan than a CDL.

Vitomum, could I ask how much you borrowed, and how long you took to pay it back? Did you include living expenses or just course fees? Did you also work p/t? Lost of questions, soz.

Pleased to hear you're doing your masters mt!

I had a CDL some years ago, but that was only for £2000 or so, so can't advise I'm afraid on living expenses etc.

Good luck
