I think my ds is ready for a bed, hes 2.3 and refusing to put on his grobag which he can get out of his cot when not wearing it.

He will need to move to a room further away from us - tips needed!

My daughter went in her bed (cot bed) at 2! She was an absolute nightmRe to get to sleep before hand in the cot! We did 2 nights where I stayed in her room...she kept getting out I would say 1st time "no baby, bed time" 2nd time "bed time" 3rd silence...followed by another 50 times of silence! You have to be strong willed as my god it is a testing few nights! But by the third night she went straight to sleep and we have never looked back!

Good luck!

We did it last Monday. We've put a stair gate across the door so I can sleep without worrying about him roaming or destroying anymore than usual.

First few nights were tricky but last 2 he's gone down well

From experience I think you'll know if it's going to be a smooth transition within the first couple of nights Smile

When we tried with DS ( I forget exactly how old he was, about 2 ish) it was a bloody nightmare. I must have returned him to be over 100 times, even after four days. I tried to stick with it but it was ridiculously frustrating. So I put the cot back up Grin Left it a few more months then tried again successfully.

I don't post this to discourage you, I post in case it goes tits up and you feel failure (like I did!), and to know that you aren't Smile
