A growth spurt at 4 weeks is very common and normal I am afraid. All my children had it.

Hi
katekoom

My 4 wk old the same, friend with 4 month old told me about wonder weeks book/app which is great at explaining milestones and their behaviours. It's reassuring and a very good read.

Tbh fussiness in the very early weeks is common/normal and doesn't necessarily mean "growth spurt"

Newborns are fussy/colicky/windy/grunty etc... They just are. They grow out of it and it doesn't necessarily need a label. Not necessarily directing that at you OP, I just see it on here so often. Antenatal classes should prepare new mums better for this.

No - never experienced a growth spurt. Don't think we had them in my day Smile
