Ok, so I have to do a presentation in my access course on tuesday. I know what I am doing and going to say, it's just the actual thought of doing it that scares me.
How did you get over the nerves of that first presentation.
BTW, it is only 5minutes long.

Thanks

imagine everyone in the room in their pjs, or naked or some such, is a technique I've heard of
good luck!

Breathe deeply beforehand. Tell yourself 'I'm good and I can do this'.

Be aware of your posture (if standing) - pull yourself up straight, feet firmly on the ground, hands on lectern or similar if possible.

Look at the audience's foreheads instead of directly into their eyes iyswim. Maintains the impression of yes contact for them and cuts out some of the nerves for you.

eye contact not yes contact

Stand tall as if a string is being pulled up from the top of your head, take 2 mins before hand to totally relax as found said breath deeply this will relax you . When you are talking speak slowly but at a steady pace and don't forget to smile, a smile will get you through the worst wobbles.

Good luck, I'm doing a 2 year access course so I know how you feel.
