baby with no teeth at 11 months

My daughter is 11 months today and still doesn't have one tooth. I can see them all in her gums but its like there struggling to breath through. Tried everything any advice how to help her

They'll come. My dd2s first tooth broke through at nearly 13 months, she's now 2.5 and has all finally!

My advice is, don't worry. Nether of mine had teeth until they were past 1. They will come when they're ready.

Just leave. They'll come.

DS had no teeth until a week before his first birthday, then he got 7 at once. At about 11 months I told my HV (who I like a lot and gives good advice) that I was worried about his lack of teeth. She said "Have you ever met an adult whose baby teeth didn't come through ?". DS is 6.5 now and inly lost his first baby tooth a month ago, it seems that he's a bit late in getting his adult teeth too.

I think I'm just comparing her to my son who had nearly had a full set by this age

I'm patiently waiting for my DD's first tooth, she is a bit younger than you're at 9 months. She's showing all the signs of teething as well.

DS had two teeth by 9 months & I do admit I am comparing them a lot - Ds crawled earlier but DD sat up on her own earlier.

don't panic! my dd was 1 before her first tooth when 4 came at once!

DS had the edge of his first tooth coming through at his first birthday. All his teeth were then slow to emerge but at 2 he has a full set barring the back molars.

I had to keep reminding myself I had seen his teeth during pregnancy scans and just be patient - hard I know!

When you say you have tried everything- what do you mean?

What do you mean you've tried everything - to ease teething pain or to get them to come through? Please don't try and force them through.

I have spoken to a dentist (well, two actually) on this as my kids were late. They are not concerned at all up to 18 months. Even after 18 months can still be perfectly normal, but they keep a closer eye on them.

No I don't mean I've forced them I mean like teething ring in the frezzer, amber beads, different teething powders I wouldn't dare do anything to force them through

Honestly, don't worry about it, I was told that it's incredibly rare not to develop teeth (and they'd likely have other developmental problems as well), and no teeth until 18 months is normal. A bonus for us is that she didn't have huge problems with teething, we had a couple of unsettled nights (which coincided with a developmental leap, so may not have been caused by teething) and then they just popped up. She was late with her big molars too.

I'm still astonished at what my daughter managed to eat with just her gums, they're surprisingly hard!

Bolshy - nope. DD2 was older than that

My 11 month old has no teeth yet. Have heard that the later they get them the less trouble they have with them coming through. No idea if this is true but hoping it is.

I'm quite shocked to at what she eats with her gums lol she eats alsorts lol x

My 10.5 month old hasn't got any yet either. I'm not in the least bit worried or bothered. My mum said I didn't get my first til 13 months.

My dd is 13 months on Saturday and got her first 3 teeth Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday just gone xx
