This happened in December as well. I saw them on amazon for £50!

I got a replacement from mamas and papas for the normal price. Have you tried them?

RavioliOnToast · 29/01/2015 20:39

Haven't looked on mamas and papas, I've seen them on toys r us for collection which wouldn't be so.bad if I could get 2 at a time as toys r us is ages away for us. I haven't actually got one of these, I'm due in 6 days but I REAAAAAAALLY want one and just trying to convince DH it's a good idea.

I got mine from Very.co.uk a couple of weeks ago, they were out of stock but back in 5 days and sent immediately. Doesn't last long. Don't pay more for them!

I heard they can be in short supply so ordered a couple from Toys R Us. They had stock earlier this week.

Redling · 30/01/2015 10:47

Also the machine comes with a filter and it will last over a month, just keep an eye our and order a couple when you see some in stock. Usually £8.99-£9.99

Artandco · 30/01/2015 10:50

Tbh they are a waste of money.
For £80 for machine plus filters £10 every 6 weeks that's about £180

I would just buy ready made formula for that price. Just open lid and serve.

I litre of milk for £3.50. Can store in fridge for 48 hrs. The average newborn Apparently has 90ml, x6 a day. So bottle will last almost x2 days at first. Then bottle a day by 5/6months

deborah86 · 30/01/2015 11:01

You get a filter with your machine. My little girl is 11 weeks tomorrow and I haven't had to change the filter yet. She's had formula since she was born

Plateofcrumbs · 30/01/2015 11:04

Unless you have a baby that's happy with fridge cold milk, the perfect prep is easier and faster than bringing milk from the fridge back up to temperature.

Artandco · 30/01/2015 11:16

Plate - hot water in bowl ( just hot from tap), then pour milk in bottle, stand in bowl. Warmer than room temp in a minute. Or just run under warm tap if next to sink. Sure it won't be hot that quick, but will be warm. It's better serving around room temp anyway as easier when out if using ready made cartons

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 30/01/2015 11:23

Art&co the filters should last a lot longer than 6weeks considering they are 150litre filters. TT say they should last 3months when making 6x260ml bottles a day - that's 52oz a day.

Also the machine is always reduced down to at least £64 (if not cheaper) somewhere.

Plateofcrumbs · 30/01/2015 12:35

Always took me longer than that to get a bottle to room temp art. felt like a lifetime when the baby is screaming I'm only using the perfect prep for top up feeds and I still think I've recouped my money on it through the saving on powder vs ready made. Horses for courses though!

RavioliOnToast · 30/01/2015 19:48

Well I caved and ordered the perfect prep to be delivered tomorrow and I can't wait! It was £70 on amazon but signed upto a free trial.of amazon family and got free delivery and a tenner off a £50 spend so came to £59.99. the justification of the purchase for me is when I'm doing the night feeds when dh has gone back to work will be a lot easier and will mean the baby Will be less likely to wake dd1 or dh Grin

RavioliOnToast · 31/01/2015 08:58
