I have always made a wee habit of going to check on mine just before I go to bed, when they are sleeping and so beautiful it takes my breath away.

This is so true. The drawbacks are nothing compared to the joy. Sometimes that doesn't get said enough, people naturally post on Mumsnet when they have a problem, not to say 'my baby is incredible and I'm so in love'.

Blue I laugh out loud with joy when I check on my sleeping boy :) and then scurry out in case I bloody wake him!
