I think she is going through separation anxiety again but she cries in her sleep Amd if ignored will wake herself up and then won't go back down without being in bed with me and cuddling or with cuddles and milk.

I am beyond exhausted and looking to go back to work so I need to get this cracked. aby ideas appreciated

Sorry, I don't understand... does she usually go to sleep on her own? It's just that what you tell seems absolutely normal to me, my kids never went to sleep unless cuddled until they were about 3 or 4, often moved to our bed through the night, or I went to theirs. For me it's not a probleml, I just fell asleep again with them. I presume you have problem falling asleep again?

Yeah she goes down ok but then wakes up dozens of times in the night. I have given uo this last week and let her sleep in with me but I really don't want that to continue

How long has it been happening like this for?

I could have written this. Currently cuddling 17mo DD on the chair in her room wondering whether I could try putting her down again...

ByTheWishingWell · 17/01/2015 22:55

It's happening here too. DD (also 17 months) has always bf to sleep and woken once or twice in the night. For the couple of weeks she's not managed to sleep for more than about half an hour (after I feed her back to sleep, she wakes up when I try to unlatch- repeat until I manage to escape). It's exhausting and frustrating.

She is so exhausted that she is now throwing up everywhere

where we have a 20mo serial vommer here when left to cry. I have no answers, CIO and CC didn't work. Gentle methods have led to her being in with us, which I don't mind but we have a huge bed so we're not cramped up.

Be kind to yourself, Flowers

We've had thus since Christmas with our nearly 17mo. She seems over it now. I miss the cuddles...

wheresthelight · 17/01/2015 23:17

I am so glad I am not the only one!!

not sure of the vomit is just exhaustion or if she has a bug but I am not taking a risk so we are sofa surfing under blankets with a stock of pj's for us both and nappies.

she is out cold now although she keeps jumping in her sleep which is weird

That sounds rough Flowers We've also had a lazy sofa day snuggled up with books and TV. Make sure you rest yourself!

It may well be a bug if she's being sick so often. Is she managing to keep food/milk down?

wheresthelight · 18/01/2015 08:41

haven't tried her with either since she has been sick. she did keep water and squash down once she had emptied her tummy.

irritatingly dp decided not to leave work on time so didn't get in til gone 8 and has gone straight to bed when actually I could have done with him having her for an hour so I could have had some sleep or cleaned up the sick bowls.

sofa and disney film day is on the cards I think!
