Hauck Alpha high chair (like trip trapp but wayyyy cheaper). With reins attached as he's a bit of an acrobat.

Dc1 was in ikea highchair up to table until few weeks before 3rd b'day now on normal chair.
Dc2 (18mths younger) started fussing about highchair at 20mths as dc2 thinks they are same age as dc1 so now on booster on chair

DS is 2.4 and very much still in his high chair. It has a very stiff clasp on the straps which I'm delighted with - he cannot escape Grin

In our house restraints are very necessary, as it is, I sweep the kitchen floor after every meal. We also almost always use a high chair when out and about. I sometimes look at other people with their toddlers cutely kneeling on a big chair and sigh..... one day....

17mo old DD has just started eating at a little low table on a toddler chair. They all sit round a little table at nursery so I thought I'd get her one - she loves it!

A booster seat on a dining chair, they climb up and down themselves. They are 2.3

Kneeling up on a dining chair, I can't get him anywhere near a highchair or a booster seat at any time so this is my only option. We were using the baby bud from Mamas and Papas but he caused such a fuss it was dangerous, I was worried about the chair it was on tipping up. It's been this situation since he was 16 months and he's 2.2 months now.

Booster seat from 18 months. The highchair broke and she is quite tall so we went for it. It's a green munchkin one she loves it

Mines almost 2 and still in antilop but starting to refuse it more often now. What are the cheap versions of the trip trapp?

marymouse · 19/01/2015 18:39

In a mamas and papas bud booster seat at the dining table, he's been in it since he was five months old.
(Had an ikea antilop for the kitchen though, but got rid of it when he was 14mths)

Mine is 3 and sits in highchair at the table, the tray removes from the high chair and it is just used as a normal chair but lifts her up to the table. She's not strapped in anymore and can get in and out herself easily. The chair is supposed to go up to 10 years old.
