Do you have a 'bossy' child?

If so, how do you deal with it? Do you try to rein them in or just leave them to be themselves? I'm finding myself in this situation with 6YO DD when around other children and their parents and I'm not quite sure what the appropriate reaction is.

No advice, but apparently we're not allowed to say 'bossy' anymore.

Yes, I have a bossy child. I was a bossy child too so I can empathise. I can see his bossiness is really an attempt to make things right, mostly by getting his little brother to follow the rules. I do try and reign it in but I do that by reminding him that he doesn't need to worry, that It's my job to keep things right and that he should just enjoy playing.

DrPepper really? I must have missed the memo. What are are supposed to say instead? Strong willed? Passionate? Grin

lazybones does your DS/did you try to get other children to play the exact games he/you wanted to? It's exhausting to watch let alone be on the receiving end of!

Yeah, I may have done. I'm not so bad now so it gets better. Wink

Not sure!

I don't care if you say bossy, a lot of others do on here.
