about 6 months

1st time both times, 35, overweight Blush and currently 10 weeks preg with DC2. However I am very aware that we are very unusual in this. DH is getting the snip after this and I am very glad I was sensible in my youth considering!!

Madallie · 10/01/2015 22:31

1st month dd1. 2nd month dd2. I felt sure it would take a lot longer the second time considering how quick it had been first time. I know we were very lucky.

DC2 took 2 years, with a mmc after 1 year. DD is 7 weeks old & I am 35.

ch1134 · 10/01/2015 22:37

Sorry to hear about the mmc. We were so lucky first time around and I'm desperate for more children but will find it so hard if it takes a long time. Hope you're all enjoying those precious dc's. Thanks for sharing.

First time with both. Officially I'm sub fertile too which is a bit odd, but there you go.

Metalhead · 11/01/2015 12:03

18 months and counting, with one mmc after 6 months.

kaffkooks · 11/01/2015 14:20

Currently 2 months in trying to conceive dc2. It took 4 months, including an early miscarriage to have dc1. I think it could take longer this time just because we're not having sex as frequently what with illness, work and being generally knackered looking after dc1!

Bigbadgeorge · 11/01/2015 14:22

Just the once with dc2 (currently pregnant). Took us by surprise! Took 4 months with dc1

QueenofKelsingra · 11/01/2015 21:56

first month with both previous pregnancies. on second month of ttc for the next one. likewise hoping it wont take too long!

LuckyCharms · 11/01/2015 22:10

First month with DC1

5 years and 3 rounds of IVF for DC2.

ch1134 · 11/01/2015 22:11

Oh No Lucky charms! Do you have your dc2 now?

Yes our lovely DC2 was conceived on 3rd round of ivf. He's brilliant and gets on really well with DC1 despite the big age gap. So it all worked out well in the end.

LissieD · 11/01/2015 23:26

1 month with dc1, 3 months to conceive dc2. I was still breastfeeding as well.

ch1134 · 12/01/2015 06:48

Great news Lucky charm. Lissie, that's reassuring. I'm still breastfeeding too, but just got it down to once a day (the bedtime fedd, cows milk for others). Only had one period so far.

Op I am in a similar position to you, we conceived first time with ds (now 15 months) and while we aren't ready to ttc no2 yet I do worry that things can't be that easy again!!
