I had decided to start my Social Work masters this sep but due to pregnancy i have had to defer for a year. Now i'm working in a social services department but not enjoying this job much so seriously thinking about going next sep and just wanted to hear from others also doing it.

Just finished mine. Heard I'd passed today! Didn't particularly rate the academic side of the course though staff and students were v nice but enjoyed my placements a lot. What are you not enjoying about the job? Is it a social work assistant post?

N1SEXYTING · 16/10/2006 12:55

@Scummy, where did you do the course and why didn't you like the academic side?

Job's a Family Support Worker post and its a pilot project to be based in schools! so basically going to be a unpaid social worker doing duty and assessments!
