What are the chances of having 2 high needs babies?

Hello
I have a high needs dd who is 14 months old. Hard to put down, cries so much, won't go to anyone else apart from DH and nursery staff, screams if a stranger talks to her, wakes alot in the night, screams if I leave the room. For all you with high needs babies you will know where I am coming from.
Despite life being so very tough, I would like to have another and hopefully have a different experience. Dd is amazing in lots of ways but mostly like has been hell.
We haven't started trying yet - but I'd be petrified of having another high needs one and whether I could cope. I have had PND
So what do you think the chances are if having 2 high needs babies?

Basically, life already kinda sucks :-) so it will just be more of the same.

Oh I can so relate to this Smile

Dd was highly strung high maintenance child. Ds really chilled out - I used to put him down for a nap like I was handling a bomb, soon realised I could practically throw him in his Moses basket and he would still sleep.

It's going to be a gamble op. Best of luck.

Bot- congratulations! I hope your pregnancy is going ok. After what you have been through I hope your second is chilled out. And I'm the same, living in the big smoke and had to adjust so much when dd arrived.
Whenshewasbad- I know the feeling. Everytime I put dd down I wonder if there is going to be a loud scream.
Thank you everyone.
We may just have to take the gamble.

Ps batgirl- I like your age gap suggestion. I'm mid 30's so maybe I can hold off until that age gap. Assuming of course we are lucky enough to fall pregnant again.

I have 4. In order of birth they were:

Ds - dream baby

Dd1 - high needs (not any more though as she's 10 now)

Dd2 - another dream baby

Dd3 - another high needs (currently 5 months so still very high needs)

I wouldn't risk another one now as I though high needs dd1 would be a one off. Now I've had another (extremely) high needs baby I wouldn't risk it again as they're such hard work.
