How long will it take to get his birth certificate

I'm registering my baby today and just wondered how long the process takes and how long it takes to get the birth certificate? Do I get it on the day or does it get posted too me? Thanks

They will give it you. Mine took about 45 min top

Our appointment slot was about 30 minutes and they give you the copies to take away with you.

You get it on the day, takes 30 mins but you need to take money to pay. I think you get one copy f

Sorry, one copy for free? And if you want spares or a full rather than short biRuth certificate they are about £4? We always got a couple so we had spares for sending away for passports or child benefit etc.

They give it to you there and then. You pay (not much) for extra copies. It's worth getting the full one though it costs a little bit more but really not much more.
