Nappies leaking up back

Hi,

We have a 3 day old. Just got home from the hospital and his back seems to keep getting wet. I'm pretty sure it's wee. I've had to change him loads of times already. Clothes and moses basket cover. We're using Pampers. Is it the nappy or is it my fitting of the nappy? Would a larger size help, i.e. is it how well the nappy absorbs or is it how well it fits?

It's very frustrating, but I've had to change him 4 times in the last 5 hours!! This is my first, so help would be hugely appreciated!!

Great idea about the baby grow also. It'll help avoid wee going in his face, which can't be good. Saying that before I worked out to put something over his willy when changing his nappy, he did wee in his face twice!

Yeah you get a lot better at nappy changes as time goes on, ds has wee'd on his face a good few times, and survived. Wink
I had only ever changed girl babies before so it was an unexpected change.
I use morrisons nappies just now as I find them the best and I get discount as mil works there. But used asda or aldi ones when ds was smaller as morrisons didn't fit him as well.

They sometimes scream due to change in temperature or just annoyed. Talk all the time and it distracts them. I did use a dummy for nappy changes for a bit as well.

He only needs one more layer of clothes than you. His hands should feel a little cool to you when you touch them

I'm sure you are remembering feet to feet and back to sleep too Smile
