what happened to the breastfeeding forum?

I know I'm fairly bleary-eyed when up in the middle of the night, so maybe I've just missed it, but I can no longer find the breastfeeding talk forum. all I see now is "infant feeding", which doesn't really seem the place to discuss extended BFing issues for ages 2+.

and it looks like a lot more general BFing threads are now being posted to this general parenting forum.

can we have it back the way it was, please, MN?

As far as I know there was no "breastfeeding talk forum" as such, there was breast and bottle feeding. Which, if you go to the Infant Feeding forum, is still the URL. So it's exactly the same thing, just with a less unwieldy name (after all, breast and bottle feeding are basically the only ways to feed an infant).

Thanks to you both. I just think "infant feeding" is not an intuitive place to go to discuss other BFing issues, such as extended BFing of a 2yo. Though I recognise we are a tiny minority.

It's just a name change. Same content. And there are loads of natural length bf la dies on there.
It used to be breast and bottle feeding ... to me infant feeding would include infant school age kids so well and truly weaned even naturally. Which could confuse!

Apparently the word 'infant' comes from the Old French word that refers to pre-verbal children. I think the average toddler fits in under that definition.
