Hello, my baby's 7 weeks old and has developed a rash on her face and neckline for about the last 4 days. It consists of very small raised spots that are red but then turn skin coloured but can flare up intermittently. She is fine in herself, happy, alert, normal temp. I rang the gp just to be sure and the nurse there said it will go on it's own and just to bathe it with plain water. I just wondered if anyine knows how long it's likely to last and if there's anything I can do to speed recovery? I've been thinking about trying calamine lotion but don't want to aggravate it. Thanks

ds had this when he was about 4 weeks old. its best not to put anything on it as it will block the pores and make it worse - it'll dry out and go eventually
