The Kite Fold

I use a nappy laundering service which provides flat nappies which go in wraps. I've been advised to use the kite fold as now fluffybaby is on solids, he does large sticky poos (sorry TMI) which escape into the wrap.

Is the kite fold hard to do? Anyone use it out there, and does it make nappy change time much longer as you fiddle about folding it?

Hi, the kite fold is fairly easy to do - we sometimes use it when not using shaped nappies and ds2 is 15 months. What I would do if I had just flat nappies though is to fold them all ready to go next to the changing mat and then all you have to do is remove the old one and lift the new one underneath and do up and put the wrap back on. For added speed you could even put the liners in to the clean nappies so there is less fiddling. The instuctions for the kite fold are on both the nappy lady and the kittykins websites. I also try to tuck the nappy in around the legs for added containment. HTH.
