First RAINBOWS sleepover. Any advice?

Argghh.

First Rainbows sleepover at a scout centre and I don't quite know why to pack. It's from 3pm this afternoon to tomorrow afternoon.

I'm assuming they'll feed her.

What should I pack? She's only taking her tiny Rainbows rucksack.

She's never slept away from home before anywhere but with family.

They will feed her, send jim jams, onesie if she has one. Spare clthes and toothbrush.

Did they not give you a kit list?

She will have a great time! :)

No kit list, unless I mislaid it.

Do I need to pack a hand towel do you think? Everything has to fit in the little Rainbows issue rucksack.

Don't they need their own sleeping bags? At ours (Cubs, but similar age), they needed sleeping bags, pyjamas, wash bags including towel, enamel plate/cup/bowl, complete change of clothes and two pairs of trainers.
Oh, and a pillow. A rucksack didn't even touch the sides!

Do you still have the front page of your consent form? The kit list is probably on there.
What did they tell you at the parents' meeting? Knowing the amount of prep I have to do to take Brownies away I can't believe that they haven't given you any information!

Don't forget a teddy bear.

Something NOT to pack - sweeties. The idea of midnight feasts may be wonderfully Enid Blyton, but the reality is hyperactive children, tears, sticky sweets inside sleeping bags,and occasionally sugar induced vomiting.... ex Cub leader speaking from experience!

Just a sleeping bag, onesie, wellies, warm coat and change of clothes was mostly vital really.

I'll know for next time now.

Wow that's impressive. I've helped out with a rainbows camp fire evening and had a lot of them missing mum/anxious. I've heard similar things about the pantomime trip I'm helping with!
