Go to it girl! You'll be brilliant. You've worked hard for the past few years and deserve you honours degree.

I'm half way through with my exam on Thursday. Will think of you (mid revision).

Post and let me know how you did. Get a good night sleep. Prayers and thoughts!

Hi again Faith8. All the best for tomorrow and just think of the feeling you will have at 1pm tomorrow ... am exceptionally jealous! My final exam is on Thurs 19th, so got a bit to go yet. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

How did it go? Or are you still at your boozy lunch with your tutorial group?

FarMARSWarrick · 10/10/2006 18:34

Blimey.......... that's one long booze up!

Faith8 · 10/10/2006 20:01

Thank you so much everyone. The exam was awful, everyone thought so. It took about 20 minutes to understand what the first question meant. Anyway, I did write for the alloted 3 hours, in between THINKING of course and hope that is a good sign. I will be absolutely gutted if I fall at the last fence. We didn't go for lunch but as I started a training course a month ago, to become a community music teacher I took myself off into town for some retail therapy. I saw a wonderful djembe drum in Cranes music shop but as I am skint I bought a reed for my sax and a tin whistle - never mind. Thanks again for your replies and good luck for your future studies.

Glad you came back Faith8. It's my exam tomorrow morning. So I will be head down hoping that it all makes sense to me in the am.

Faith8 · 12/10/2006 13:28

I am sitting my first proper uni exam tomrorow, also 10-1! It's the end of my second year, a Level 2 course (last year's was just from ongoing assessment.)

I am very scared. I am worried I will not remember anything so will have no chance of even scraping through with a 40%.. and so wasting a whole year's work. I have worked hard all year, but don't do anywhere near enough study due to so many other commitments.. but I guess all OU students are in the same boat or we wouldn't be doing it the OU way! (Annoys me that some people seem to see an OU degree as a 'Mickey Mouse' degree.. I reckon we work harder than anyone trying to basically teach ourselves with no official study time!)

I haven't done as much revision as I should as MIL died unexpectedly at end of course.. so have only been revising for a couple of weeks.

Wish me luck please!

Good luck with your result Faith. Bet you've done great if you were mostly writing for 3 hours..

MarsLady · 13/10/2006 02:41

Thanks Faith8. It went really well and I was happy with the questions. Now it's the wait until December for the results.

Creepyjess... an OU degree is bloody hard work. No sitting about in the bar for us. Good luck tomorrow (today even). Will be thinking of you. Hope you get the questions that you want. Remember to let us know how it goes.

I'm off to bed now before I fall asleep on the keyboard.

ShinyHappyPurpleSeveredHeads · 13/10/2006 13:44

Thanks Mars. It was scary. The stuff I knew best of all did come come up directly in the questions and I think I might have made the dire mistake or going off on a few tangents to try and write what I knew best. Which obviously I won't get marks for

Shit and fuck. And got to wait til late Dec now..

Good luck to you all re results and exams not yet taken

Faith8 · 13/10/2006 18:37

Apparently the O.U. is ranked in the top ten Uni's in the country. I think it might even be at number 5. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!! BTW it's my birthday tomorrow.

I meant the stuff I knew best did NOT come up... hope I made slightly more sense in the exam.. but doubt it somehow..!

ShinyHappyPurpleSeveredHeads · 13/10/2006 20:43

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Faith.. hope you have a fab one!

ScotsBird · 15/10/2006 09:05

I am so jealous of you all having already sat your exams - mine is on Thursday this week. On Friday night my husband forced me out of the house to a work night out saying it would do me the power of good etc etc, and I got completely plastered, stayed out clubbing till 5am and did absolutely NOTHING yesterday - oh god!!! Am going to crack the books today ...

PS Happy birthday Faith

MarsLady · 15/10/2006 20:40

Well done Scotsbird! I had given up salsa and the weekend before the exam I went dancing and it did me the power of good. I couldn't study the next day, but my brain was clear and I was able to attack the books well.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Faith8
