Well there had to be one...
Thought I might as well start it at Fennels suggestion.
You have all read enough from me how about you?

Mrs D - I am being silly and miserable without good reason too. I am totally sure dd3 will be fine at nursery, after all I have used the nursery for 3 years already. and still I am stressed about it.

This thread is really long now isn't it? Are any of the others as long?

MrsD, Fennel, LucyJones - good luck with work, childcare etc. It's natural to worry about it - we wouldn't be human if we didn't. I have finally begun my search for a childminder - am seeing a couple tomorrow and have others to ring.
Ds starts back at school next week - the summer holidays have flown by! He will be going full-time now, instead of just the afternoons - so I will just have dd in the day (until I go back to work).
MrsD - re your first post this morning - you are hardly rotund! And your dd is perfect

We could always start an April babies part 2...

dot1 · 23/08/2004 20:04

ooh yes - someone start part 2 (I suppose I could have?!).

Metrobaby - didn't even think to take offence! It's me that calls ds my 'big chubba'..! (We're currently moving ds into 9 - 12 months clothes to accommodate his tummy!)

I'm back at work 2 week's today, and am just trying to keep the feeling of hysteria under control. I know I'm lucky that my dp's at home with ds's, but it's still so hard to leave them - especially ds2 as he's so little (although I feel like I've got much closer to ds1 over the past few months and it'll be hard to leave him aswell). Am very nervous aswell because I was only in the job for 4 months before I left, so it feels like I'm starting again - very scary...

Am torn between wanting dp to tell me everything about ds2 and what he does, or wanting to discover things myself when I'm at home - I'll be gutted if/when I miss him sit up/crawl etc.... Makes me so sad. But no-one said it was going to be easy, and the mortgage needs paying...

Sorry to be a bit down - just hate this countdown now..

KristinaM · 23/08/2004 20:19

So sorry for those of you who have to go back to work in the next few weeks .And feeling very fortunate that I can take much longer off.

Moan away Mrs D - thats what we're here for !

MrsDoolittle · 24/08/2004 09:46

Dot - I think you are describing alot of how I am feeling at the moment. I was only in my job 7 months before I left. I had to tell my manager on my first day that I was pregnant!!
Anyway, change is in the air. Dh has a new job so ultimately this means that we will be moving. Hopefully we will be able to buy a house. We have been waiting and waiting for the market to sort itself out a little, hopefully there are signs that it is going to. I would like to move closer to work and reduce the commute. This time last year I never thought it would be a problem, but suddenly the distance between dd and myself when I am at work hit me like a sledgehammer!
I can't do links. HD how about linking us to an April Babies part 2?
