What kind of pants while potty training ?

Sorry if this is a stupid question and has been asked millions of times before, but am planning to do a one week potty training session with DS (2.3 years old) while my DH is away in Dubai (lucky sod !!) and not sure what sort of pants to use.

He has ordinary boys pants (elasticated cotton ones), are these ok or are there specail training pants I can buy somewhere ? Will these be easy enough to pull down quickly ?

I have decided not to use pullups during the day, just let him run around in pants and track suit bottoms. Is this ok ?

Thanks very much !

We went straight to knickers for dd. A friend found that with pull ups her dd just used them as normal nappies. She wasted her money, in her opinion.

just normal pants, take him shopping and let him choose them too. He'll like wearing his specail pants and it might help with the potty.

Pull up are acomplete waste of time IMO.

(BTW, wearing his posh, special, chosen himself pants made Ds3 desparte to wee/poo in the potty)

I wish I had done this sooner when it was hot, then I could have just let him run around naked It's freezing today here in London, so I doubt I will be able to let him loose with no pants !

Normal pants but one size bigger than you'd normally buy for him - makes them easier to pull up and down in a hurry.
