MMR - last Monday now got mumps

My DS had the preschool booster and has developed mumps I see on the NHS website that this can happen and last for a day or two. Anyone else had this and how do you make a three year old take it easy?

Small children tend to be self limiting in my experience so don't worry too much about making him lie on the sofa or anything like that.

I had it as a child (twice!) and at that time the advice was that you needed to stay off school for two weeks which was not a lot of fun as I didn't actually feel too bad after the first couple of days.

My daughter had mumps after mmr lasted a few days

I had mumps as a child, no lasting effects but was quite poorly for a week or so. I was around 9 but recall not wanting to do much but sleep. Hope your DS feels better soon. x
