Hi Laura,
A week is such a short time, she's doing really well so I would just keep at it. My dd, nearly 3, went through the same thing, we went everywhere with loads of extra pants/trousers and kept saying, never mind! I wouldn't use nappies when you take her out, she will, eventually, get it. Good luck, and welcome to mumsnet.
ps my dd now thinks she is so clever that she tells supermarket staff that she is going home to have a wee wee, slightly too much information I think........!

Hiya, thanks so much for that, i'll definately do what you said, think i'll go and buy her loads of pants and see how we go... Lol, that must be so funny, i bet the supermarket staff laughed about that all day! Kids say the funniest things dont they....thanks again for your help.

my ds was like this so I just constantly reminded him that he didnt have a nappy on and to go for wees and poos on the potty. Took a couple of accidents then he remembered. Also did the sae when I put trousers on him. She will get there..took ds a week from starting to be finished and then at 2.5yrs he decided he didnt want a night nappy either.

Hi LauraJane we were in the same posisition as you last week 2 weeks ago DD (aged2.1)decided wanted her potty and no accidents all the time she naked waist down (or had skirt no knickers)this week on tuesday we tried trousers no knickers had 3 accidents in the morning and I was changing her straight away 3rd time left wet trousers on for about 5 monutes she didnt like it and took them off. After that put knickers and loose waisted trousers on and she seemed to get the idea. She does feel the need to strip the whole of her bottom half off every time she nees to go potty but only had 1 accident since tuesday (today she fell asleep this morning and woke up saying need wee but we werent quite quick enough!)
Also not using nappies/pull ups unless dire circumstances (ie car journey longer than 15 minutes and impossible to stop) and have been doing short trips walking to park/shops etc with knickers and clothes on and trying to get her to tell me she needs to go.

HTH and good luck xx

Also forgot to say I let her pick her knickers (disney princess) and shes very fussy about wanting princess knickers on not normal knickeers (white ones which I have loads of!) so I tell her she needs to keep them dry as no spare princess knickers in the drawer. Not sure if she understands but she always checks and looks that I'm putting princess knickers on her!!!!
