Green/gray baby poo

My baby has had dark greenish/gray sludgy poo for 3 days. He is well otherwise, FF, taking the same amount as normal. Will contact HV/GP in the morning but any ideas what could be the problem?

How old is your baby?

Green poo normally isn't anything to worry about. Do you use a nappy cream? We used metanium and it made Dds poo a very grey colour round the outside-most unnerving!!

He's 10weeks. I use sudocream. His stools are normally pale and a little hard but this is really sludgy and this really odd colour!

Are you weaning yet, specifically with bananas or blueberries?

Mint sauce-like poo accompanied colic for one of our DCs but it was obvious she wasn't well/happy.

X-post forget the banana/blueberry theory then!

Usually green poo is an indicator of a slight tummy upset or virus. Do check with hv or gp but if he's weeing lots and happy in himself, it's probably nothing to worry about.
