3.10 year old - night time nappy tups please

DS is almost four. We have tried to get him out of his night time nappies for about the past month. He'll have one dry night in about four; the other three he shouts me and we have to change him and the bed.
I assumed that he just wasn't ready for this, as he was wetting more often than not, so put him back in his nappies. HOWEVER, he has now started doing his morning POO in them
I so badly want him to be dry but am knackered with getting up to him every night. Please help!

Night TIPS rather, not tups!

the nighttime dryness is something to do with a brain chemical that tells the body to shutdown urine production - it is not something you can train. Apparently it happens any time between about 2 and 7 (I think).

My twins DS's will be 4 in Jan - and are nowhere near dry at night (DS1 was dry at about 3.5) - much as I wish they were.

The pooing in nappy is laziness I guess (one of mine does it too). Maybe bribery is called for - clean nappy in morning gets some reward - and build up to a week of clean nappies etc.
