Ideas for a 'spooky' film for the family to watch together?

We live somewhere really remote so can't do proper trick or treating, but had planned to watch a 'spooky' film together as our homage to the season. Anyone got any ideas for films that aren't too scary for 7-10 year olds? Oldies fine .Just after inspiration, really….. Ideally something on Netflix.

Haunted mansion and hocus pocus

Beetlejuice or Gremlins?

Brilliant - will check those out. Thank you. Am total klutz when it comes to films (haven't heard of any of those 4 mentioned!).

Witches or Labyrinth?

Hocus Pocus, Haunted Mansion, Casper the friendly Ghost, .

Do not show them Gremlins or Beetlejuice: they are both 15 certificate and your 7 year old will have nightmares.

Hocus Pocus is a good bet.

I rewatched it recently and somehow I mustn't have noticed as a child that the witches were actually bad guys. I thought they were awesome and remember rooting for them.

Ghostbusters - what a blast from the past! Bet they'd love that - and the music. Starting to think we could be in for a marathon film session!!!

Butterfly I came on to recommend Hotel Transylvania. I love that film (blah, blah, blah )

Ghostbusters, haunted mansion, Casper and hocus pocus are all great.

We've just watched The Addams Family - kids 4-11 loved it.

Another vote for Hotel Transalvania here too. Such a brilliant and funny film. Our 9 year old loves it and we'll be watching it this Halloween !
