So I returned to study after taking a year off to move house, etc.

Long story short, am four weeks in and broken my foot, back at the fracture clinic Friday afternoon to see how long I'll be in this infernal plaster for and extent of damage. I'm on crutches and my arms, hands, chest and dicky hip (after spd) with ds2 are killing me. I'm not sleeping well because of my stupid foot and bandage and ds2 pottering in during the night. I'm tired and fed up and am on my own during the day, but so lucky to have people popping in and out to help with school runs, etc. Dh is at work and can't take time off.

I have an essay due Monday and can't get to it at all. I've done the intro, but my hands hurt to type for long and my brain is foggy.

My academic advisor doesn't believe I will have any issues completing work and I know he's correct, but I'm just so tired and down.

That sounds pretty awful Madcatgirl.
Just keep at the essay a bit at a time and you will get there.
15 mins writing, 5 min break, before you know it you will be into it and not need the breaks so often.
It will be awful but once it is done it is done.
I hope that all goes well with the fracture clinic.

Chin up!

Well I've done about 1000 words and submitted a mitigation form. It's going to be one of the worst things I've ever produced, but the main thing is I submit it.

Just try to do a 'good enough' job and put it behind you. Even if it's substandard for you, it will be out of the way and you can move on. Good luck

Well it's submitted. It's a pile of shite, but it's gone. That's a relief.
