In your area if you are a single parent and a full time student, do you qualify for free school meals?

I was entitled last year but DS1 gets FSM now anyway as a Y1.
If you are just getting child tax credits, not working tax credits it is highly likely you will be eligible.

I was getting it but found out today I've lost it

Spent an hour today trying to get through to the council praying it's a clerical error and I'm in uni all day tomorrow so it's going to be Friday before I can get any answers

I'm living on student loan and tax credits

If your income is under £16000, which it most likely is with student loan and CTC, then I don't see why you shouldn't be getting it.
Fingers crossed you manage to get it sorted.
Is there an email you can try?

I find FSM a great help, everything is a mad rush as it is with 2 DC, full time uni and part time work, not having to make up packed lunches every day is very helpful, as is the money saved.

I live in Germany, and as a student and single mom, I don't have to pay for childcare or for the meals there (school only goes till noon, so after that my daughter's in daycare).

I hope it worked out for you and you're getting free school meals now?
